Schema markup isn't a "nice extra" — it's how Google understands what your site offers. In the Arabic context, we run into problems that English guides never mention.

Problem 1: Prices

Google reads "price": "100" with no problem. But if you write "100 EGP" it won't parse. Solution: use a separate priceCurrency.

Problem 2: Arabic numerals

If your site displays Arabic numerals (١٢٣) instead of Latin (123), make sure Schema always uses Latin.

Schema doesn't care how the site looks to the visitor — it cares how we tell the engine about the content.

Problem 3: Hijri dates

If your site uses the Hijri calendar, write it as Gregorian in Schema. Specify with dateFormat.

Testing

Use Google's Rich Results Test before publishing. Any warning = fix it before it hurts your ranking.
